Coppermine Beginner Polo Clinics
Learn the “sport of kings” from internationally recognized players and instructors at Garrison Forest School's polo facilities. Everyone will learn how to groom and tack their mount and learn how to ride for polo in addition to basic shots, defensive skills, teamwork and game overview. No riding or polo experience is required – these clinics are designed as an intro to polo. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of camp weeks, campers will be shuttled to Coppermine Green Valley Swim and Tennis Club after a morning of polo clinics where they have an afternoon of swimming and playing outdoor games. On Friday afternoon, parents will be invited for a polo scrimmage with all polo clinic participants.
These clinics include a range of players- from those who are sitting on a horse for the first time, to those who have had minimal polo experience in the past, but want a refresher. Campers should wear long pants (leggings, jodhpurs or jeans) and boots with a heel. Students may bring their own helmets or may use helmets provided by Garrison Forest School. All polo equipment (i.e. polo mallet) is provided.
