GFS Fabulous Fabrications
Hosted by the Garrison Forest Creative Co-op, a state-of-the-art maker space, young makers will spend the week immersed in digital design and fabrication. Using Design Thinking, campers will work on open-ended projects to create and build objects inspired by their own interests and experiences. They will learn to design in 2D using vector-based software and to cut their designs out of cardboard, wood and acrylic with our 90-Watt laser cutter. Campers will stretch their spatial reasoning skills, turning 2D cut-out shapes into 3D, designing 3D objects using free computer-aided design software and printing them with 3D printers. Each project will be flexible and tailored to meet different levels of experience.
