Extra-Curricular Activities

Livingston offers a variety of after school extra-curricular activities for girls designed to spark intellectual curiosity, celebrate creativity, encourage physical activity, enhance social skills, and broaden an awareness of the world.

Chinese Language and Culture
   Meets Wednesdays (Kindergarten, Prefirst, Grades 1 and 2)
   Meets Thursdays (Grades 3, 4, and 5)
   3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
   Parents are welcome to participate.
   
Girl Scouts: Brownies
    Meets twice a month on Tuesdays
    3:30 - 5:00 pm
    For Grades 2 and 3

Girl Scouts: Juniors 
    Meets twice a month on Tuesdays
    3:30 - 5:00 pm
   For Grades 4 and 5

Robotics

    Meets every Tuesday and Thursday
    3:30 - 5:00 pm   
    For Grades 4 and 5

In 2009, the GFS Fourth and Fifth Grade Robotics team placed second in Creative Presentation in a Maryland state competition. In 2010, the team also placed at regional and state competitions. 

  Music
  Individually scheduled (28-week sessions)
  Private, afterschool lessons are offered in piano and violin beginning in   Kindergarten. Guitar and flute are offered beginning in Fourth and Fifth Grades.
