Garrison Forest places high value and strong emphasis on the Arts, offering substantive, varied, and sequential programs in the Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theater. With many curricular and co-curricular choices among the Arts, all students have opportunities to discover talents and develop skills at every level.
Several GFS Upper School students and faculty traveled to New York City in May to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Age of Empires special exhibition.
Qingyuan (Sarah) Peng's '17 painting, "Ephemeral Spring," was chosen as the 1st place winner in the Congressional Art Competition for Maryland District 3.
4th Grade students recognized for winning the World Artists Experiences (WAE) writing contest traveled with their families and 4th Grade teacher Erin Viana to the Austrian Embassy in Washington DC to receive recognition.
The Garrison Forest production of The Language Archive won several honors at the 2017 Baltimore Theatre Awards ceremony on April 30 at Hereford High School.
