You learn the rules and required skills in riding technique, mallet technique and strategy from talented coaches. Garrison Forest also offers a string of well-made polo ponies, almost all of the equipment, and the opportunity to participate in clinics given by world renowned polo instructors.

Polo is offered as a team sport to Garrison Forest students during all three sports seasons at the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Third Team level. Girls as young as Fifth Grade can start learning polo through weekly lessons and scrimmages. The Junior Varsity and Third Team play their own schedule of games throughout the year. The Varsity team competes weekly up and down the East Coast against other high school-age club teams and college teams. In the spring, the Varsity team participates in the U.S. Polo Association’s National Women’s Interscholastic Tournament against other high school teams from across the nation.
