Student Parade & 100th Birthday Party

Students, Parents, and Faculty celebrated Garrison Forest's 100th Birthday in unforgettable fashion and in true GFS spirit on Friday, October 15. The Student Parade and 100th Birthday Party hosted the largest crowd to date on the GFS campus--1,400 people--and offered all party essentials and a few Centennial extras.

After a packed morning schedule of Parents' Visiting Day with parents spending the morning in their child's classes, Head of School Peter O'Neill and wife Peggy led a Student Parade through campus to the Hopkins Fields, the location of the 100th Birthday Party.

Guests enjoyed a picnic lunch on a special GFS blanket, an array of games, inflatables, carnival treats, and fun. After birthday cake for everyone and the unveiling of the Centennial Quilt, the party wowed all in attendance with a display of fireworks (yes, in the afternoon).  Happy Birthday, GFS!
