Biography
With an undergraduate degree in Education from Shippensburg University and graduate coursework at Penn State University in Early Childhood Education, Joyce Peichert began her career teaching Kindergarten for five years in rural Pennsylvania. Since moving to Baltimore, she has been actively involved in the life of independent schools through her two sons, who graduated from St. Paul’s School for Boys, and her daughter, Rachel, was a member of Garrison Forest's Centennial Class, the Class of 2010.
Mrs. Peichert was an active GFS parent volunteer, serving on numerous committees, including room parent volunteer, a member of the Parent Association Board, and along with husband David, Senoir Class Gift Committee member. Prior to returning full-time to the classroom in 2010 as an Associate Teacher with the Five-Day Threes and Lunch Bunch, Mrs. Peichert was a frequent short- and long-term substitute in the GFS Lower Division.
