Middle School, Middle School Dean of Students
Tung Trinh joined the Garrison Forest community in 2011 as the Middle School Dean of Students and sixth grade geography teacher. Prior to GFS, Mr. Trinh was a middle school social studies teacher and the department chair at Shore Country Day School in Beverly, Massachusetts. Mr. Trinh taught courses in world history and globalization, advised seventh and ninth grade students, led outdoor educational trips, and coached basketball, cross country and softball.
Mr. Trinh completed his undergraduate work at Bowdoin College, where he studied government/economics and was an all-conference long jumper and captain for the track teams. He also holds an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University. Originally from Maine, Mr. Trinh divides his time between running, hiking and obsessing over the Boston Celtics. He lives on campus with his wife Ashley and son Ollie.
