May 10 marked a touching turning point for the Class of 2012. In the Garrison Forest tradition, the Senior Class passed the “light of leadership” to the Juniors at Vespers, an annual ceremony held in the School’s historic Chapel.
Vespers is a reflective, ceremonial recognition of endings and beginnings. In a week, the seniors depart for their three-week Independent Senior Project (ISP)—individual internships that will take them around the region, the nation, and world to explore career paths and passions—and several members of the Class of 2013 begins the Junior Leadership Program on campus.
