What is podcasting?

Wikipedia defines podcast as "a digital media file (or a series of such files) that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers". Once downloaded you can hear or view the podcast whenever you want from your computer or a portable media player. You can also simply enjoy podcasts online at our website.

How do I access the podcasts?

There are several ways you can listen or view our podcasts.
1. On the web – just click the “Listen” or “Video” buttons to listen/view online. You may want to do this to preview the program before you download it.
2. Download – click on the download button to manually download an audio mp3 or video file.
3. Subscribe – when you subscribe to our podcasts, your podcast subscription software (see below) will automatically download new podcasts as they become available.

Why should I subscribe?

By subscribing to our podcasts, you will automatically receive audio content. Each time an audio clip from one of our special programs or distinguished speakers is uploaded, you will receive the latest featured Podcast(s).

What do I need to subscribe to your podcasts?

You will need podcast subscription software installed on your local computer in order to subscribe to our podcasts. This software is typically free - options include the Apple's iTunes (which has the subscription software built in), or other services such as Odeo or iPodder, to manage your podcast subscriptions.

You can listen to podcast audio from your computer (provided your computer has a sound card and can play MP3 audio files). If you want to make your podcasts portable, you will need to transfer them from your computer to your portable media player (iPod, Rio, etc.)

Note: You only need subscription software if you want to subscribe and get latest podcasts automatically downloaded. Otherwise you can just listen online.

How do I subscribe?

Please follow the detailed instructions on the main podcast page.

How do I unsubscribe to a podcast?

If you wish to unsubscribe to a podcast, please be sure to delete the entire feed entry (not just the individual audio editions) in your subscription management software.
