At Garrison Forest School, learning is an adventure. Classes and projects are student-centered to give your interests, passions and questions a place to flourish and stretch out in new directions. In addition to our challenging curriculum and co-curricular program, we offer several signature programs unique to Garrison Forest.
How girls learn and how they can get the most out of their learning are at the center of our signature programs. From our nationally recognized Women in Science and Engineering (WISE ) partnership with Johns Hopkins University and our James Center for hands-on learning programs to our more recent Imagineering program—pre-engineering for Preschool and Lower School students—and our campus-wide maker spaces, the Creative Co-op, there’s something for every adventurer.
What does The James Center do? By bringing together Garrison Forest’s many hands-on learning programs, The James Center offers students from Lower School through Upper School many opportunities to link to existing programs and to create their own. Learn more.
The Creative Co-op at Garrison Forest nurtures a culture of curiosity, discovery and making. In this community-owned space, students, faculty, parents and the larger GFS family learn from one another through cooperative creative experiences. Learn more.
