S.T.E.A.M. Experience (ages 11-15)
This week-long overnight experience will provide a "hands-on, minds-on" approach to introduce, strengthen, and enrich each student's STEAM knowledge. Each day will showcase one of the cross-curricular concepts of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We will begin looking to the past and present women pioneers of science, followed by a set of experiences to engage and explore. Participants will have the opportunity to meet experts in the various S.T.E.A.M. fields and partake in thorough Q&A sessions. In the afternoons, participants will share their findings and observations, leading the way to extend their curiosities and investigate the concepts further. Each day will wrap up with a journaled evaluation that reviews the successes of the day. Evenings will include on and off campus activities such as swimming, yoga, bonfires, arts and crafts, movie and game nights and more!
It is highly recommended that each participant bring a personal laptop enabled with a camera. Loaners will only be available on a limited basis.
