Ask for Kids

Ask for Kids is an important first resource for children searching the web. Children can ask questions in a natural language format and receive relevant information that has been filtered to eliminate inappropriate content. Just remember to only ask one question at a time!

Awesome Library

This is a small, highly selective collection of approximately 30,000 educational websites for children. Different searches are available for teachers, kids, teens, parents, librarians, and college students.

FirstGov for Kids

From the U.S. Federal Citizen Information Center, this directory provides links to government-related kids' sites along with some of the best kids' sites from other organizations, grouped by subject.

This is a great site to use when looking for a few good web sites on a topic of interest to children. The basic selection policy is to include only sites that kids (grades K-7) will find entertaining or enlightening. Entries are briefly annotated and indicate the number of illustrations, the reading level, and the subject area.

KidRex is a fun and safe search for kids, by kids! KidRex searches emphasize kid-related webpages from across the entire web and are powered by Google Custom Search™ and use Google SafeSearch™ technology.
