Lower School Afterschool Activities
We are excited to offer the following afterschool options for our Lower School students! Note that offerings can change seasonally and some have capacity limits. As each program is run by a different department or administrator, please see the sign-up link listed with each activity for details on how to register your child. Sports (Fall 2026)
Garrison Forest Athletics is excited to offer an opportunity for our youngest community members to carry on the Garrison tradition of excellence in athletics. We will offer field hockey sessions that will prepare these students for a team environment, with a focus on fundamentals and FUN. This is an 10-week program.
Schedule:
The fall program will run from September 8-November 11 The sessions will take place from 3:30-4:30 PM on the Lower School field adjacent to the playground.
Tuesdays: Field Hockey for 1st and 2nd Grade (Click to register)
Wednesday: Field Hockey for 3rd and 4th Grade (Click to register!)
Details:
- Participation will be limited to 16 students.
- It is expected that all students will be picked up promptly at 4:30pm.

5th Grade Athletics:
Our 5th Grade students are invited to compete with our Middle School Field Hockey or Cross Country teams. More information will provided at the start of the school year.

Lower School students may also sign up to take to riding, polo, or Applied Music classes. These programs are run by those respective departments, and additional fees apply.
