Lower School Afterschool Activities

We are excited to offer the following afterschool options for our Lower School students! Note that offerings can change seasonally and some have capacity limits. As each program is run by a different department or administrator, please see the sign-up link listed with each activity for details on how to register your child. 

Important note: General or daily aftercare for the Garrison Forest Lower School is offered through Harford Heights. We highly recommend all families register for Harford Heights at the beginning of the school year in case you need drop-in care during the year. Please click here to register your child with Harford Heights. On the registration form, you are able to select the days you will need care if that is known, or you can register for drop-in care/emergency basis only. 

Sports (Winter 25-26)

Garrison Forest Athletics is excited to offer a fun and engaging lacrosse and soccer experience for our 1st–4th grade students!  Designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of each sport, these sessions will help build skills, teamwork, and a love for the game—all in a supportive and energetic environment. The winter program will run from December 2nd through February 6th. The sessions will take place from 3:30-4:30 PM in the Auxiliary Gym. 

  • Participation will be limited to 16 students.
  • It is expected that all students will be picked up promptly at 4:30pm, unless your child is a regular in Harford Heights for that day. There will not be a drop in option for Harford Heights.
  • There will not be a session on the following dates: December 22-January 4; January 19.

Lower School students may also sign up to take to riding, polo, or Applied Music classes. These programs are run by those respective departments, and additional fees apply.
