Virtual Visit

Our unique position as one division of a school that extends through Lower School and Middle School to an excellent college preparatory Upper School means we can offer an educational program for young boys and girls that takes full advantage of the richness of the school as a whole, particularly as it applies to curriculum and facilities. The classroom teachers’ language arts and math programs, the music, art, Spanish, library, science and Imagineering classes and the physical development that’s supported in physical education classes, all enrich the lives of our Preschool students. More importantly, when a teacher welcomes her students with a hug in the morning, when a Pre-K student helps a two year old on the playground, when children applaud the accomplishments of their classmates, the development of each and every student is being nurtured in a way that honors individual needs and celebrates the joy of learning that we find in each of our students.

Girls in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade develop a love for learning in the Lower School that sets an important foundation for the years ahead. From an outdoor classroom to integrated STEAM programming, our program helps our youngest students thrive in an environment designed to help them grow and succeed.

Girls in Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grades develop independence and build confidence in our nurturing Middle School, where they’re encouraged to take every opportunity to expand their interests and perspectives. While our hands-on, interdisciplinary curriculum provides academic enrichment, our teachers, counseling staff and academic support team are dedicated to meeting each girl where she is to get her where she wants to go.

Here, you’ll find students and faculty and staff sharing meals and catching up. Locally sourced breakfast, lunch and dinner is available for both day and boarding students, with a few student favorites being “Fry-day”, mac and cheese and chicken noodle soup! This is where our community comes together around special events like the Multicultural Potluck, Lunar New Year celebration and more. 

Go Grizzlies! The Athletic Center is home base for 50 interscholastic teams in 16 sports, and includes an indoor track, three basketball courts, a dance practice studio and a full gym.

Our original school building from 1912 is now home to our Business and Development Offices, the School Bookstore and the much loved O’Zone Cafe, where students can grab snacks or a quick bite. On nice days, you’ll see students having lunch on the porch.

The recently renovated Library, which  serves students in grades 6-12, features lots of natural light, collaborative work spaces and quiet study space. The library is open before and after school, as well as for Study Hall each evening.
