Dani Dipietro '10 started her riding career on Pepper as a 1st grader at GFS, and ended it as the Captain of the GFS Equestrian Team. Riding remained an integral part of Dani's life throughout college, where she studied Public Health and International Development at Tulane University. Dani participated in and eventually lead the Tulane University's Equestrian team, acting as President from 2012-2014. She placed in the top 10 in the country at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association finals in 2013 and was named the best rider in the region the same year.
Dani also continued to compete on Dylan, the horse that she rode during her GFS days, who moved to New Orleans with her. The pair continued to be successful in the "amateur adult" divisions throughout college. Dani and Dylan were reunited with GFS alumna and former riding coach Deloise Noble-Strong '89 several times at competitions in Mississippi in the years after graduating from GFS in 2010, which was a treat.
As her beloved Dylan nears retirement age, Dani has taken a break from competing and is enjoying casual trail riding and training instead. They both reside in New Orleans.
