Posey Obrecht '09 was named the 2013 Polo Training Foundation Intercollegiate Player of the Year, one of the most prestigious awards given at the collegiate level in the sport. 

Posey attended the University of Kentucky where she managed several high school intercollegiate polo tournaments for the United States Polo Association and served as a mentor for the GFS Middle Grades Partnership summer polo program for underserved middle school students in Baltimore City. Posey holds a degree in equine science and management, served on the USPA Student Athlete Advisory Committee and was a past volunteer coach at the University of Virgnia polo camp.
