Q: Think back to what you wanted to do when you were younger. Is it what you’re doing now?
Looking back, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly, but I knew that I was interested in the arts. I did a lot of photography at GFS, which got me into art history and the art world in general when I went to Skidmore. Michele Shepard at GFS was instrumental in that. Eventually, the still image moved to the moving image and that’s how I ended up in TV and documentaries. With photography, I wanted to tell a story, which is why I am fortunate to produce stories now. I won the art award my Senior year at GFS, a series of photographs that ended up in the Art Department, and I have it now at my home. When I look at it, I remember where my path truly began: at GFS.

Q: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Coffee! I love what I do, and each day is something new—be that at work, or with my son.

Q: What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my work accomplishments and the way I have been able to juggle my career with my family. I’ve been nominated for two Emmys (have not won yet but still hope to!), and I've produced very good stories in my career so far. I’m not ready to give that up. I can't imagine not working, not producing, and I believe I am a good role model for my son.

Q: Describe your Garrison experience in one word.
Discover.

Q: If you could give a graduating Senior one piece of advice, what would it be?
Be tenacious and vocal, and work hard. Be willing to extend yourself; you have to go out and get what you want. It won't come to you.
