After graduating from GFS in 2018, Caroline majored in mechanical engineering and minored in math and communications at Southern Methodist University (SMU). Caroline spent her time at SMU teaching tennis to juniors after classes or studying with friends in the engineering buildings. After graduating from SMU in December 2022, Caroline moved to Houston to work as a Production Team Support Engineer (PTSE) for Shell at the Deer Park Chemicals Complex. Two months into being in the petrochemicals industry, the Olefins unit (OP3) Caroline supports burned down. Caroline supported the fire recovery efforts, rebuild of the unit and commissioning and start up activities under the rotating equipment/mechanical team. Throughout her two years at Shell, Caroline has supported both the hot and cold sides of OP3. Caroline has worked on several different types of equipment (both rotating and fixed) such as furnaces, fans, turbines, pumps, etc. As of January 2025, Caroline has transitioned back to solely supporting the cold side of OP3. Caroline serves as Shell’s New Professionals Network Deer Park Business Spotlight chair and has onboarded new PTSEs. In her free time, Caroline enjoys pilates, walking Memorial Park with friends and playing tennis.

Upon graduating in June 2005, Hiltie eagerly set her sights on the University of Mary Washington for the fall semester. Yet, upon arrival, she sensed it wasn’t the perfect fit and made the bold decision to step back and explore other paths, opting to immerse herself in the world of retail. In the spring of 2006, Hiltie found her stride at Johnson & Wales University, where she pursued both an associate’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing. Armed with her degrees, she embarked on an adventure to New York City in 2009, where she delved into various facets of the industry through internships in buyers’ offices, sales floors and public relations firms. It was amidst this whirlwind of experiences that she found herself at G. Hensler. & Tommy Hilfiger doing product development. Today she is back in Baltimore and working for Under Armour, as a senior manager.

Mary-Ragan graduated from GFS in 1985. She went on to spend her first semester in college in London before starting at Duke University as a January freshman. Mary-Ragan worked during the days and went to night school in the summers to get enough credits to take a semester off her junior year to travel around the world with Semester at Sea. While at Duke, Mary-Ragan was a freshman advisor, volunteered in the hospital and held various positions in her sorority. After graduating from Duke, Mary-Ragan went to New Zealand to live and work as a waitress before coming back to Washington, D.C. to start a banking training program at Bank of America. She spent four years as a real estate credit analyst before getting her M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her first job after business school was with Frito-Lay in Dallas, Texas where she was a brand manager on the Tostitos and Rold Gold businesses. She left Texas after four years to lead marketing at two, now defunct, start-ups in San Francisco. From 2001 to 2012, she held a number of consumer marketing positions within eBay, Inc, including head of their Trust and Product Marketing and head of PayPal’s Customer Marketing Group. Mary-Ragan left eBay to start her own consulting firm where she spent the bulk of the next eight years working for LinkedIn’s Consumer Product Marketing group in various roles. In 2020, Mary-Ragan left the business world to focus on getting more first generation students into and through four year colleges and into well-paying careers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Baltimore City. As part of this work, she partners with universities, nonprofits and other organizations to help develop pilot programs and services around college completion and career readiness. Some of her local partnerships include the University System of Maryland, Towson University, Coppin State, Community College of Baltimore County, College Bound and Maryland READs among others.

After graduating from Garrison Forest School in 2010, Sasha earned a B.A. in U.S. history with a minor in French from Duke University in 2014, where she was an officer in Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity dedicated to community service. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2017, where she was actively involved in campus organizations, including serving as treasurer for the Animal Law Society and articles editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, for which she received the Grace Wilson Sims Medal in Transnational Law. Sasha began her legal career as a staff attorney at the Nashville District Attorney’s Office, before being sworn in as an assistant district attorney general upon passing the Tennessee bar. She primarily prosecuted domestic violence cases before being elevated to Criminal Divisions V and I to prosecute major felonies. In July 2019, Sasha joined the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) as deputy general counsel. After two years, she earned a promotion to senior counsel, and in October 2024, she was named General Counsel of the organization. In her current role, Sasha oversees the organization’s legal strategies, provides leadership and mentorship to emerging legal professionals and guides the organization in fostering innovation and collaboration within the prosecutorial community. Admitted to practice law in Tennessee (inactive) and the District of Columbia, Sasha is a member of the D.C. Bar Association, the American Bar Association and several affinity organizations.

After graduating from Garrison Forest in 1996, Jacque went on to study at Dartmouth College. There, she was an All-American Lacrosse player and was named Player of the Year in 2000. Prior to earning her veterinary degree, she owned, operated and chartered a sailing catamaran that voyaged the British Virgin Islands. She earned her veterinary degree at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Baton Rouge, where she received the Bayer Client Communication Award. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a proponent of balanced nutrition, educating her clients on the link between food and health. Jacque is currently working on developing a pet food company whose proceeds support military service dogs. She enjoys hiking, running, sailing and cooking with her young son and daughter, and her family is extended by their dog and kitten, Scout and Rex.

Upon graduating from Garrison in 2018, Madison was committed to play softball at Appalachian State University. After completing her first year at Appalachian State, she chose to take a gap year in 2019-2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Madison then transferred to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where she joined the honors college and continued her softball career. At UMBC, she had the privilege of winning three America East Championships and competing in the NCAA Tournament three times. Madison’s achievements were recognized through several honors, including the 2023 UMBC Softball Unsung Hero Award, 2023 America East Championship Most Outstanding Player Award, 2023 America East First-Team selection and All-Conference Designated Player. After completing her senior year, she started her career in sports media with the UMBC Athletics Program, where she discovered a passion for social media management and content creation. To expand her skill set in photography and videography, Madison took the bold step of founding her own company, Madison Rose Productions, as a freelance photographer and videographer. This venture allows her to further develop her expertise in visual storytelling and media production.

After graduating from Garrison in 2006, Jessica attended Syracuse University pursuing dual degrees in public Relations and communication and rhetorical studies. At Syracuse, Jessica was highly involved in Greek life, serving on her sorority’s Executive Board as well as holding the position of recruitment chair on the Panhellenic Council, overseeing the entire recruitment process for 12 sororities on campus. After college, Jessica worked in the public relations industry for two different firms where she conducted media outreach, planned events and managed social media accounts for her varied roster of clients. After feeling unfulfilled in this career, Jessica returned to school, earning her master of education in school counseling from Loyola University Maryland in 2016. She worked as a school counselor for Baltimore County Public Schools for eight years before transitioning into the independent school system. She is currently the school counselor at The Odyssey School in Baltimore, an independent school for students with language learning differences. Jessica also joined Terra Counseling and Consulting, a private therapy practice in Baltimore, where she supports her clients in managing their anxiety, depression, relationships, stress and adjusting to life’s transitions via in-person and telehealth therapy services. While at GFS, Jessica was a member of the Chamber Choir and the Ragged Robins. She also participated in the Model U.N. club and played lacrosse and field hockey. Finally, she was awarded Most Spirited Dark Blue!

Imani started her journey at GFS in 6th Grade. During her time at GFS, she was a part of the Black Awareness Club, Service League, and BGSLC and played softball, basketball and field hockey. After graduating from GFS in 2009, Imani studied biotechnology with a minor in public health at Syracuse University in Upstate, N.Y. While at Syracuse, Imani was a student facilitator/advocate for interpersonal violence prevention and inclusive reproductive health through The Advocacy Center. Additionally, she served as a mentor for Dimensions, a peer-to-peer mentoring program geared toward self-identified women of color in their first year of studies. Imani’s professional background and expertise are in public health and healthcare respectively in addition to health systems, population health management, global health, mental health research, comparative health policy and maternal, child and family health. She is a proud first-generation graduate and an alumna of Morgan State University where she received her Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2023. Currently, Imani is a population health strategy consultant for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, the largest not-for-profit health plan in the Mid-Atlantic region. In the fall of 2024, Imani decided to pursue her longtime dream of attending art school, and is currently a graduate student at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, Md. Her research interests lie in the intersections of trauma informed design methodologies, reproductive justice and the exploration of art and creative practices as a vehicle for social change and the promotion of health equity. Outside of her professional and academic roles, she is also certified full-spectrum doula, fiber-textile based artist and an avid international traveler.

During her 12 years at GFS, Isabella participated in many activities from horseback riding in Lower School to tennis in the Upper School, captain of the badminton team and head of the book club. After graduating from GFS in 2015, Isabella pursued a strategic communications degree with a minor in sport and event management at Elon University in Burlington, N.C. Isabella was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, the Women's Club Tennis Team and studied abroad in Florence while a student at Elon. Isabella always had a passion for the entertainment industry and knew she wanted her career to be in communications. This led her to her job at Lifetime, the TV network, working as a social media manager since she graduated college in 2019. She has made countless amazing memories there! From visiting the TODAY Show with talent, making TikToks with the Dance Moms girls and visiting movie sets to create content.

After graduating from GFS in 2020 with both a drive-thru graduation ceremony and a real one, Lilly pursued a nursing degree at Stevenson University. She was a member of the National Student Nurse Alliance. She worked as a waitress until she acquired her certified nursing assistant license (CNA). During her time at Stevenson, she worked as a CNA on a women’s health/oncology unit and later transferred to a pediatric unit. Before Lilly graduated from Stevenson, she accepted a job in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) in the same hospital. In her role, Lilly takes care of patients whose ages range from newborn to adult and are in serious condition needing intensive care. While at GFS, Lilly was a member of the basketball team and the WISE program. She was also a head of the Jewish Student Alliance.

After graduating from GFS in 2007, Robyne pursued a degree in journalism at the University of Maryland where she also minored in Spanish language and literature. She graduated in 2011 and accepted a national News21 fellowship, where she did reporting on food safety issues and was part of an award-winning team published in the Washington Post. Robyne went on to produce for WBOC in Salisbury, Md. In 2013, Robyne moved back home to Baltimore in 2013 to produce for WBAL-TV. There she launched the station’s 4:30 a.m. broadcast. In 2019, she made a career pivot into public relations and began her career in public service with the State of Maryland. Currently, she serves as press secretary and media relations director for Comptroller Brooke E. Lierman. Robyne was a member of the Garrison Forest Board of Trustees from 2016-2024.

Ashley graduated from GFS in 1995 and went on to Furman University in Greenville, S.C. where she was a studio art major with a double minor in art history and education. After graduating from Furman in the spring of 1999, she began teaching kindergarten and elementary art in Sandtown at New Song Academy. She continued teaching at Calvert School where she was the Lower School Art Teacher and Middle School Coach. With the birth of her daughter Rainey in 2009, she decided to stay home. In 2016 she created her business Home Perspective which offers home organization, moving assistance and estate clearing services. She had offered these services to friends who needed help, but she saw a hole in the market and created a business offering her services. Nine years later, Home Perspective is thriving and has been recognized as one of Baltimore’s Best by Baltimore Magazine and featured in Oprah Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine. Ashley has been a guest on multiple podcasts and magazines sharing her thoughts and tips on all aspects of her business.

After graduating from GFS in 1997, Carmella pursued a double major in art history and French at Vassar College. She spent her junior year studying art history and philosophy at the Sorbonne, as well as interning in commercial services at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. Her experience led to a year-long paralegal internship at Carlson Wagonlit Travel in Paris after her graduation in 2001. Pursuing a career in commercial interior design after her return, Carmella grew her resume through experience at several Baltimore based design firms, and most recently at SmithGroup in D.C. before accepting a position in the federal government. While working in design Carmella also chaired the non-profit advocacy group, the Maryland Coalition of Interior Designers, including leading the effort to renew the right to certification in Maryland, which sunsets every ten years. She is both challenged and fulfilled by her current role as deputy office director for the Office of Realty Management at the Social Security Administration, overseeing real estate, leasing and design for the agency’s nationwide facilities portfolio.

After graduating from Garrison Forest in 2005, Liza received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Drew University. While there, she served as a peer tutor, a member of the honor board and as a mental health crisis phone line volunteer. Liza spent time studying abroad in London and the south of France. After completing several healthcare related internships during college, Liza accepted a job at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working as researcher on a study about the potential causes of Autism. With her background, Liza was keenly aware of the importance of communication and the devastating effects when this ability is negatively impacted by illness or injury. This prompted her to seek a master's degree in speech language pathology with a focus on adults with neurocognitive-communication disorders and dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). Liza currently works at several local hospitals assessing and treating patients with the goal of restoring communication and swallowing function in order to improve their quality of life.

During her junior and senior years at GFS (inspired by the hosts of BET’s 106 & Park) Indigo created and co-hosted her own web show. Filming this web show in the Annex after school, it was on those very computers that she taught herself how to edit using iMovie. From there, her dream of working in the TV and film industry took root. Indigo continued to Towson University where she majored in electronic media and film with a concentration on film/video/digital media. She worked at WMJF, the on-campus TV station, assisting with editing and filming news packages. The summer after graduating from Towson, Indigo moved to Atlanta, G.A. where she got her feet wet working on her first docu-series, Married to Medicine (Atlanta). Over the years she climbed her way up the ladder, working on various docu-series and live shows including, Housewives of Atlanta, My Super Sweet 16, Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, The Grammy’s and the NBA All-Stars. Since 2018, Indigo has been working as the series associate producer for A&E’s most popular crime TV show, The First 48. In her role, Indigo assists with the production of each episode from start to finish. This includes tasks such as researching details about the victim and suspect, planning shoots and making sure all creative and legal notes are addressed.

Blanton attended Denison University after graduating from Garrison Forest where she studied history. During her time at Garrison, Blanton served as co-chair of the Paul’s Place community service group and was the Dark Blue Spirit Captain. While at Denison, Blanton got her first taste of real estate through internships at CBRE and RKS Realty. Graduating in 2008, during one of the largest economic downturns, posed a challenge for career opportunities but she landed in Winston-Salem, N.C. working for a multifamily (apartments) property management company PRG Real Estate. From there Blanton moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for Walker & Dunlop, a large real estate lender, overseeing a portfolio of multifamily loans. In 2012, Blanton joined The Bozzuto Group and for nearly 10 years at Bozzuto worked on special projects, new developments, design initiatives and investment strategy for the Bozzuto owned portfolio. While at Bozzuto, Blanton earned her master’s in real estate finance from Georgetown University. In 2022, Blanton joined Blackfin Real Estate Investors where today she oversees the Asset Management and Construction Management team for a portfolio of 10,000 apartment units across the country with a value over $1.6 billion. Blanton is also involved in the Urban Land Institute and co-founded and runs, BREW, a women’s real estate networking organization. In 2024, Blanton joined the Alumnae Board at Garrison Forest.

Sarah graduated from GFS in 2000 and then went on to study architectural history at Brown University in Providence, R.I. She graduated with a B.A. in 2004, then moved to New York City where she worked in the financial sector. In the spring of 2009, she worked as an assistant varsity lacrosse coach at GFS and then started her master’s in architecture that fall at the University of Michigan. After graduation, she moved back to Maryland and worked as architectural designer for Mark Mobley Architecture, then as a stager for Staging with Style LLC and finally as a kitchen designer for Mill Valley Kitchens. She started working at Vectorworks in 2015. In her role at Vectorworks, Sarah serves as a subject matter expert, providing training and consultations for users of Vectorworks software, creating marketing content and attending trade shows and events as a representative of Vectorworks.

After graduating from Garrison in 2010, Marie studied political science at Washington and Lee University. Torn between an interest in foreign affairs and business, Marie graduated from Washington and Lee in 2014 and moved home to the Baltimore/D.C. area to consider next steps. In the late fall of 2014, Marie began interning with the Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Over the next four plus years, Marie finished her internship and went on to have multiple full-time roles on the Committee. In 2019, Marie left Capitol Hill to lobby for a nonprofit international development and public research organization, where she has been since. Foreign affairs remains her passion, informed by her childhood as an Army brat and two incredible internship opportunities with refugee resettlement organizations

Angela Gustus began her career shortly after graduating from Garrison Forest School in 1993, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities while earning her bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University, which she completed in 2000. Her passion for service led her into leadership roles, eventually moving to N.Y.C. in 2009 as a National Urban Fellow, earning her MPA while working as a special assistant at the NY Foundling—where she also met her wife, Cathy. After returning to Maryland in 2010, Angela served as Director of the Bureau of Program Evaluation at the Maryland State Department of Human Services, where she also penned her first book, Chip. In 2014, she and Cathy launched CMAG, a consulting firm that has since grown into four companies. Angela completed her doctorate in 2023 and has authored four books, with another on the way. She stays connected to GFS through the Alumnae Board, Career Day events and her favorite campus activity—pickleball.
