Athletic Training at GFS

The Garrison Forest School Athletic Training Program delivers athletic training services to student-athletes in the Middle and Upper Schools. These services fall under five domains:

  • Injury Prevention
  • Injury Rehabilitation and Reconditioning
  • Injury Recognition, Evaluation and Immediate Care
  • Health Care Administration
  • Professional Development and Responsibility

Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians and other allied healthcare professionals to provide prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries that result from physical activity. Alexis Carter and Barbara Doy, nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainers, work under the direction and supervision of the Athletic Director, Jessy Morgan, and a sports medicine physician, Dr. Teri McCambridge. Dr. McCambridge is a pediatric sports medicine physician at Towson Orthopaedic Associates.
