Welcome to the Garrison Forest Athletic Training program
Athletic Training Vision Statement
It is the vision of the Garrison Forest School Athletic Training Program to provide injury prevention, care and rehabilitation services of recognized excellence for all Middle and Upper School student-athletes at Garrison Forest School.
Athletic Training Mission Statement
The Garrison Forest School Athletic Training Program delivers athletic training services to the student-athletes in the Middle and Upper School. The services fall under five domains:
- Injury Prevention
- Injury Rehabilitation and Reconditioning
- Injury Recognition, Evaluation and Immediate Care
- Health Care Administration
- Professional Development and Responsibility
It is the expectation of the athletic training staff to remain current and at the forefront of knowledge and practice of the above listed domains as well as encouraging young women athletes to lead with passion and purpose through their sport.
Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians and other allied healthcare professionals to provide prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries that result from physical activity. Lucia Esposito and Barbara Doy, nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainers are available to all Middle and Upper school student-athletes at Garrison Forest School. The athletic trainer works under the direction and supervision of the Athletic Director, Jessy Morgan, and a sports medicine physician, Dr. Teri McCambridge. Dr. McCambridge is a pediatric sports medicine physician at Towson Orthopaedic Associates.
