Interim Assistant Athletic Director
Mr. Breto started at Garrison Forest in 2019-20 in an Interim role. Drawn by the way the students, families, faculty, staff and administrators all look for ways to support each other and give back to the community, Mr. Breto gratefully accepted the permanent position and is excited to continue to learn from and partner with all of these great individuals.
Mr. Breto has been involved with or working in athletics at the Middle School, High School, Collegiate and Professional levels since 2008 as a player, coach and administrator.
Originally from South Florida, Mr. Breto received a scholarship to play Division I Men's Soccer for Ohio State University. There, he was a member of the 2009-10 Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Championship team. During his career he received and/or was elected to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, Academic All-Big Ten (3x) and the Ohio State University Scholar Athlete Award (4x). He also served as a representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Board where he helped advocate for his teammates' interests to the President of the University and Athletic Director. Most valuable to him, he graduated with a B.S in City and Regional Planning from the Knowlton School of Architecture.
After college, Mr. Breto had the opportunity to play professional soccer in Berlin, Germany. Upon retiring, he moved to Maryland where he met and married his wonderful wife, Delaney Breto (also works at Garrison Forest). Mr. and Mrs. Breto live on campus as members of the Residential Life Faculty.
