Technology, Network Administrator
Louis Gephardt joined the Department of Information Technology in 2006. He was born and raised in Baltimore, attended Calvert Hall College High School, and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park. While in college, he worked in the Network Operations Center the Office of National Drug Control Policy's H.I.D.T.A. Taskforce. After graduating, he worked as a field technician with Geeks on Call before joining the Technology Team at GFS.
As Network Administrator, Mr. Gephardt oversees network operations on the GFS campus, administration of our FirstClass system, and provides technical support to all faculty, staff, and students. He is CompTIA A+ Certified, a Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
When not maintaining the GFS Network, Mr. Gephardt is a cantor/singer at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Towson and with the Baltimore Concert Opera where he serves as vice president. He also enjoys spending time with his nephews and niece, going to the beach, and playing the piano and pipe organ. He lives in Dundalk with his cats Widget and Maestro.
