Polo, Assistant Polo Coach
Emily Dewey joined the Garrison Forest staff in 2007 as the Assistant Polo Coach and a member of the residential life community. She teaches Equine Science, Anatomy and Physiology and Animal Behavior courses in the Upper School and advises the Light Blue and Dark Blue spirit captains.
Ms. Dewey graduated from Michigan State University with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science. While at Michigan State, she served as the Women’s Polo team captain and was selected twice as an All-Star at the South East Regional Women’s Intercollegiate Polo Tournament. In the spring, she helps the United States Polo Association by managing Interscholastic and Intercollegiate tournaments along the east coast. During the summer of 2012, Ms. Dewey managed the Maryland Polo Club in Monkton, Maryland.
Ms. Dewey, her husband Brian, and their labradors Luke and Lola reside in Little House and spend their spare time out on the grassy areas of campus playing Frisbee and enjoying the great outdoors.
