Emily Bishop ’10, Senior Account Executive, Social/PR, GKV

During her time at Elon, Emily was an associate in the Center for Undergraduate Publishing and Information Design at the school.  In this role, she managed the English Department newsletter, The Back Cover, and provided other students in her major with concept and technology help.  In addition, she worked as Marketing Outreach Coordinator for Elon Student Television.  Also during her college years, Emily interned one summer at WMAR TV where she learned about the broadcast journalism process.  Following her education, Emily began a position as Social Media Manager for Social Buzz Pros, a Bethesda, Maryland, digital agency that provides social media, blogging, web design and online marketing.  A move to the Boston area found her in a post as Branded Content Associate with Breaktime Media, which connects brands with consumers.  There, Emily worked with Bayer, General Mills, Proctor & Gamber and a number of other companies.  She returned to the Baltimore area and took a position with the Baltimore Orioles as Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships then served as a freelance writer for Dailybreak an online media platform that allows users to earn rewards for engaging in shareable, interactive content.  Her current place of employment, GKV, is involved in advertising, direct marketing, branding and digital and public relations campaigns.  Emily manages the About Faces, BGE Home, Chock full o’Nuts, and Maryland Lottery social accounts and works closely with creative and production departments to deliver content.
