Kristen Hill Brown ’07, President & Director of Operations, Brown Network Designs, LLC 
and Program Manager, U.S. Department of Defense

After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Government and Politics, Kristen began working at the university as an Assistant Program Manager for Conferences and Visitor Services, where she scheduled, planned, and managed large conferences and events. Kristen then became Manager of Operations Support for TEKsystems where she managed daily business operations for national accounts for over $18M and forecasted budgets for specific clients. After this experience, Kristen joined Goldman Associates as Director of Operations, where she was responsible for the opening, funding, and account maintenance of all investment brokerage accounts, estate accounts, 529 college savings plans, and IRA/retirement accounts. In addition, she was the subject matter expert for financial and investment regulatory compliance.  Presently Kristen is a Program Manager with the U.S. Department of Defense, where she is responsible for oversight on major acquisition programs with a value of over $1.5B in government contracts. For the past two years, Kristen has also been the President & Director of Operations for her own company, Brown Network Designs LLC (BND). BND provides IT infrastructure solutions across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia. Kristen has  Series 6 and 63 investment licenses, a Maryland Life and Health Insurance license, and a Top Secret security clearance.
