Jessica Jackson ’01, United States Probation Officer, Middle District of Florida

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2005, Jessica began her career as criminal clerk for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. Shortly thereafter, she transitioned to the State of Maryland as a probation agent. After several years serving in that capacity, she decided to try her hand at law enforcement, becoming a police officer for the Baltimore City Police Department in 2009. She later returned to the State of Maryland Parole and Probation Office and began working with high-risk offenders as part of the Violence Prevention Unit before becoming a Field Supervisor.

Jessica began her federal appointment in January 2015 in the District of Maryland, Greenbelt office. She currently runs the Intensive Reentry Program in Tampa. As a court-appointed United States Probation Officer for the federal judiciary, Jessica supervises federal offenders and assists them with their reintegration into the community. She has over 15 years of criminal justice experience which includes, location monitoring, post-conviction risk assessment, moral reconation therapy, presentence investigation, local and federal law enforcement, and reentry programming. Jessica is committed to public safety, reducing recidivism, and assisting ex-offenders in becoming productive citizens upon release.

While at GFS, Jessica was a member of the Black Student Alliance and the badminton team.
