After graduating from GFS in 2016, Gabi pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Bachelor of Science in Sports Management at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Gabi was a member of Sacred Heart's Division I Equestrian team all four years. She was captain of the team her senior year. Gabi graduated from Sacred Heart summa cum laude. Throughout her Junior and Senior years, she interned at NBC Sports and CBS Sports HQ. Directly after graduating, and in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gabi decided she wanted to get her master's degree. She attended the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism for a year, receiving her Master of Science in Journalism. Four months later, Gabi ended up in Southern Illinois at WSIL-TV where she was the Sports Anchor/Reporter for two years. During her time there she covered two St. Louis Cardinals Opening Days, an NL Wild Card game, a NASCAR race and countless college and high school sporting events.
