Karen Faust Crossley ’94

After graduating from GFS in 1994, Karen went on to University of Virginia where she pursued a degree in Drama. She was a member of the First Year Players, working both on and off stage all four years. Through UVA, Karen got an internship at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA working in the Theatrical Division, where they were previewing The Lion King. Directly after college, Karen moved to California permanently for a job as a Production Assistant on the Disney animated movie, Dinosaur. After completion of the project, Karen worked as an assistant in the WDS Finance Department from 2000-2002. In October 2002, Karen made the leap to freelance production accounting and worked the next 10 years on feature films such as Freaky Friday, 40-Year-Old Virgin and The Break-Up. Karen joined the finance team at Marvel Studios in 2017 and in her role as Director works on all Marvel movies and streaming shows including Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine.
