Kentucky Horse Show Results

We attended The Kentucky Summer Horse Show and The Kentucky Summer Classic on July 24-28 and July 30-August 4.

Here are the results from the Kentucky Summer Horse Show:

Garrison Forest community rider Maggie Hopkins competed her horse, Cu Roi, in the 3'3" Amateur Owner Hunters. They earned 4th, 3rd, 5th, and 6th over fences and 5th in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest School Equestrian Institute member Drew Mallahan competed her pony, Shalimar, in the Small Pony Hunters.  Drew and Shalimar had good rounds in a competitive division. They also competed in the USEF Pony Medal and earned 3rd.

Garrison Forest community rider Nicola Higgins rode Joan Bergmann's Colston in the Children's Hunters 15-17. They earned 5th, 4th, and 7th over fences and 2nd in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest School Equestrian Institute member Lauren Eisele rode her horse, Lamor VDL, in the Children's Hunters 15-17 as well. They were 8th and 8th over fences and won their under saddle.

Garrison Forest Community rider Carroll Kilty rode her horse, Avonlea, in the Pre Adult Hunters. They had solid, competitive rounds in a big division.

Garrison Forest Community rider Riley Kletz rode her horse, Chepetto, in the Pre Children's Hunter. They won their first over fences class and was 3rd in the under saddle, which earned them reserve champion for the division.

Garrison Forest student Virginia Edwards rode her horse, GPS In The Know, in the Pre Children's Hunter as well. They won their second over fences class and was 8th and 4th in the other over fences classes. Peter and Virginia also earned a 5th in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest student Jules Astrada rode her horse, Jefferson, in the Pre Children's Hunter as well. They were 3rd in the over fences and 4th in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest community rider Magda Stewart rode Amanda Flint's Gustav 303 in the High Adult Amateur Jumpers. They had a great showing earning 10th in one of their classes.

Garrison Forest Equestrian Institute member Kathryn Obrecht rode her horse, HTS Kings Ransom in the 15-17 Equitation and other medal classes. Kathryn and Kato eared an 8th in the 15-17 Equitation flat.  They had great performances the THIS 15-17 Children's Medal and the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal as well with competitive company.

Garrison Forest community rider Maggie Hopkins competed her horse, Cu Roi, in the 3'3" Amateur-Owner Hunters. They earned 7th, 3rd, 3rd, and 7th over fences and 6th in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest School Equestrian Institute member Drew Mallahan competed her pony, Shalimar, in the Small Pony Hunters. Drew and Shalimar had good rounds in a competitive division.  Drew also made her debut on her new pony, Champlain Heart of Gold in the Medium Pony Hunters.  Drew had good rounds on her new mount in a large, competitive division.

Garrison Forest community rider Nicola Higgins rode Joan Bergmann's Colston in the Children's Hunters 15-17. They earned 4th over fences and 8th in the under saddle.

Garrison Forest student Jules Astrada made her debut in the Children's Hunters 15-17. They had good rounds for the first time in this division.  They also competed in the Take2 Thoroughbred Hunter earning 4th, 5th, and 4th over fences and 2nd in the under saddle.
