Lexington Spring Encore Results

Garrison Forest riders competed at the Lexington Spring Encore in Virginia this past weekend. See the full results list below.

Garrison student Alicia Gandsas '25 rode her pony, Westwood Oliver Twist. They started out the weekend competing in the Schooling Pony Hunters earning a 4th place. They then competed in the Small/Medium Pony Hunters and placed 6th, 1st, 7th, and 7th over fences and 6th in the under saddle. Alicia also rode in the WIHS Pony Medal and the Pony Classic and finished 4th and 7th respectively.

Garrison community rider Rachel Tanio rode her horse, Messina, in the 18-35 Adult Amateur Hunters. They placed 5th in the over fences and 5th in the under saddle. Rachel also rode Joan Bergmann's Colston in the 18-35 Adult Amateur Hunters and earned a 5th place ribbon over fences.

Garrison community rider Finn Jacobs rode his horse, Allegro, in the Pre-Children's Hunters and Equitation. In the hunters, they earned 4th place in both of the over fences classes, and in the equitation, they earned a 4th over fences and a 7th in the hack. They also competed in Intermediate Hunters and earned a 1st and a 5th over fences and a 4th under saddle.

Garrison Forest student and Equestrian Institute member Kathryn Obrecht '21 rode her horse, HTS Kings Ransom.  They competed in the T.H.I.S. Medal earning a 4th, Gittings Horsemanship earning a 2nd,  and the NHS Hamel Medal, earning a 1st place. She also went clear in the .95M Training Jumpers, earning a blue ribbon.

Garrison student and Equestrian Institute member Lauren Eisele '21 rode her horse, Lamor VDL. Lauren had a great showing and competitive rounds in the Older Children's Hunters.
