Garrison Forest riders competed at the Maryland National Horse Show at the Showplace Arena this past weekend. See the full results list below.
Garrison Forest School student Drew Mallahan ‘26 and her pony Shalimar competed in the Small Pony Hunters. They were 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in their over fences classes and 2nd in the under saddle. Their performance earned them Reserve Champion in the division. They also competed in the M&S USEF Pony Medal earning a 4th place ribbon.
Equestrian Institute member and Garrison Forest student Lauren Eisele ’21 competed with her horse Lamor VDL in the Older Children's Hunters. They won their under saddle and had a great showing in their over fences classes out of a large group.
Garrison Forest student Alicia Gandsas ‘25 rode her pony Westwood Oliver Twist in the Medium Pony Hunters. They were 7th, 2nd, 4th, and 4th in their over fences classes and 3rd in the under saddle. Alicia and Oliver ended up 7th in the Pony Hunter Classic. They also competed in the M&S USEF Pony Medal and won the class.
Equestrian Institute member and Garrison Forest student Cassie Edgar ‘22 competed Garrison Forest School's Desperado in the .80M, and .85M Jumpers and earned 4th and 3rd respectively. They then competed in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers and earned 2nd and 5th.
Garrison Forest Community rider Magda Stewart competed Amanda Flint's Gustav 303 in the High Child/Adult Jumpers and earned a 5th place ribbon.
Garrison Forest Community rider Maggie Hopkins competed her horse Cu Roi in the 3'3" Amateur Owners. They were 4th, 2nd, 2nd, and 4th over fences and 5th in the under saddle. Maggie and Roy finished up 4th in the Junior/Amateur Owner Classic.
