Pony Finals

Here are our results from Pony Finals:

On August 6-11, two Garrison Forest School students attended USEF Pony Finals.

Equestrian Institute member Drew Mallahan competed her pony, Shalimar, in the Small Pony Hunter division first.  Drew and Shalimar finished 69th in the model and 90th in the under saddle.  Their performance had them ranked 87th overall going into the over fences day.  Drew and Shalimar had a competitive round over fences finishing 69th.  Their scores earned them 56th overall out of the 132 ponies in their division.

Next, Drew competed her new pony, Champlain Heart of Gold, affectionately known as Neil, in the Medium Pony Hunter division.  Drew and Neil finished 13th in the model and was sitting 41st overall after the hack.  They had a great over fences round, earning them 62nd.  Drew and Neil's performance earned them 52nd overall, out of 160 ponies in the division.

Lastly, Alicia Gandsas competed her pony, Westwood Oliver Twist, in the USEF Pony Medal Final.  Alicia and Oliver had one of the best rounds of their life, finishing 154th out of over 200 entries.

Outside of the ring, Drew competed in the Horseless Horse competition, winning one of the classes and earning reserve champion.

Both girls did an outstanding job with their ponies at their Pony Finals debut.
