Here are the results of the recent Maryland Horse and Pony Show at the Virginia Horse Center: 

Drew Mallahan '26 and Farnley Hi Tide

Drew is a Garrison Forest student as well as an Equestrian Institute member.  She competed in the Medium Pony Hunters and the USHJA Pony Derby.  Drew finished 9th in the Derby.  In the Medium Pony Hunters, she finished 1st, 5th, 5th, and 6th over fences and 2nd in the under saddle. Their efforts also earned them 3rd in the Classic. The USHJA Pony Derby was in memory of Mary Laing; we kindly thank her and her family for the use and donation of several of her ponies over the past couple years.

Virginia Edwards '22 and H&M Uit De Melle 

Virginia is a Garrison Forest student as well as an Equestrian Institute member and competed in the Low Pre Children's Hunter and the Special Children's Hunter. In the Low Pre Children's, Henry and Virg finished 5th and 5th in the over fences. In the Special Children's they finished 1st, 2nd, and 4th over fences. Their efforts earned them reserve champion in the division. Virg and Henry also finished 7th in the Low Pre Children's Classic on Sunday.

Madeline Mohn '24 and Caracas

Madeline is a Garrison Forest student as well as an Equestrian Institute member and competed in the .90M Jumpers.  This was her debut with her new partner Caracas.  They finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their classes, earning them Reserve Champion in the division.

Magdalene Stewart and Vancouver IV

Magda, a Garrison Forest community rider, rode her horse Van in the High Child/Adult Jumpers. Their performance earned them a clean sweep of the division, winning both classes. They then went on to finish 3rd in the classic on Sunday.  

Carroll Kilty and Heartbeat

Carroll, a Garrison Forest community rider, rode her horse Rolo in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers. They had great rounds and many personal improvements, making it a very successful weekend for the partnership.
