8th Grade Presents Capstone Projects
From the authenticity of influencers, sports psychology to mental illness and many more, the Garrison Forest 8th Grade delved into a broad scope of topics for their 8th Grade Capstones. Capstone is a semester-long course for all eighth-grade students. It is centered around the TED-Ed Student Talks program and curriculum, which supports students in discovering, developing, and ultimately sharing their ideas in the form of TED-style talks. It culminates in a showcase for the Middle School Community.
My favorite thing about teaching this class is guiding students as they explore their passions and come up with new and unique perspectives. They start with nothing and end up with these informative and inspiring Talks; it's so fun to watch the Talks come together!
