The first full week of school was filled with activities, celebrations and more! Here's a glimpse of our busy week:

RISE Goes Outdoors

Our Middle School RISE (Research, Innovation & Scientific Exploration) students collected temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen data from the pond.

Sukkah Building and Celebration

Members of our Upper School Jewish Student Association (JSA) and Upper School math teacher Joan Brown led the building of a Sukkah in honor of the Jewish holiday, Sukkot. Later in the week, Lower Schooler buddies in Kindergarten and Fourth Grade learned more about the Sukkah and holiday and contributed their own decorations.

Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival

From preparing mooncakes in the dorms and enjoying a family-style dinner to presentations and performances, our community celebrated the beginning of the Mid-Autumn Festival this week!

Upper School Fall Trips

Students in Grades 9-11 ventured out on team building and adventure activities earlier this week, heading to Genesee Valley, River Valley Ranch and Upward Enterprises for a day of fun, collaboration and trying new things.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Senora Rodriguez treated the Middle School to a special presentation for Hispanic Heritage Month, giving castanet and flemenco dancing demonstrations. Advisory ended with a sweet treat of Pulparindo, hot and salted tamarind candy. More events and presentations are planned throughout the month.
