Clean-up, connection, community and creativity were found all around campus this afternoon during the annual Upper School Day of Service. Creating reading booklets for Kenya Connect, planning this year’s OHF Water Run, learning more about autism awareness, making cat beds for the Baltimore Humane Society, prepping land for a pollinator garden and campus improvements around our Preschool, Daycare, chapel and theater are just some of the many projects Upper School students participated in today. Students also had the opportunity to hear from many guest speakers throughout the day--including Executive Director of Kenya Connect, Sharon Runge; Director of The Limits of My World, Heather Cassano ‘09; and Founder of Help Heal Humanity, Alexandra Ahlfield ‘05, who all provided important insights into their areas of expertise and encouraged important conversations about engagement and activism.
