Congratulations to our 2025 student award recipients across Lower, Middle and Upper School, who were recognized during Closing Ceremonies and Commencement for their outstanding character, growth and contributions to the Garrison Forest School community.
Lower School:
Lilian-Grace S. '32 was awarded the Jacob and Annita France Citizenship Award, which is given to a student who has made a positive contribution to the well-being of the School through her sincerity, loyalty, good humor, kindness and concern for others.
Claire P. '32 was awarded the Faculty Award for Personal Growth, which is presented to a student who displays exceptional personal growth--academically, socially and emotionally.
Finally, the 3rd Grade (Class of 2034) was presented with the Elizabeth G. Brown Spirit Award, given to a class that demonstrates qualities of spirit, enthusiasm, cooperation, honor, understanding, support and unity.
Middle School:
Annie Cate B. '29 was awarded the Citizenship Award, given to a student who exhibits inclusiveness, demonstrates respect for her peers, takes responsibility for herself and others, sets an example for others to follow and makes active contributions to the betterment of the school community.
Zoe J. '29 was awarded the F.E. White Award, given to the 8th Grader who has demonstrated the highest level of growth in the pursuit of academic excellence. This student exhibits an awareness of academic strengths and struggles and demonstrates a willingness to seek out assistance when needed.
Natalie S. '29 was awarded the Faculty Award, given to an 8th Grade student who has demonstrated a true passion for learning and has a high academic standing in the class. The recipient is someone whose commitment to intellectual pursuits is evident in all she does. The recipient is a creative thinker, passionate about many fields of study and inspires peers to engage in learning for the sheer fun of it.
Norah G. '29 was awarded the Unsung Hero Award, given to the 8th Grade student who has shown exceptional personal qualities of loyalty and dedication to the ideals of the Middle School. The student who receives this award is one who works quietly behind the scenes and does not seek public praise for her efforts; this student embodies qualities that we hold in highest esteem in our school: honesty, respect and kindness.
Cheyanne G. '29 was awarded the Spirit Award; this award is considered the highest honor in the Middle School, and it is given to the 8th Grade student who best exemplifies the spirit of Garrison Forest School.
Upper School:
Kaitlyn H. '25 was awarded the Reverend Philip P. Jensen Award, given to a Senior who cares deeply about both the Garrison Forest community and the world beyond our campus. Her commitment to others is one of her highest priorities, matched only by her intellectual curiosity.
Vivian A. '25 was awarded the George M. Shriver Award, given to a Senior who exhibits leadership through her reliability, integrity and desire to listen openly and speak with a thoughtful voice. She bravely takes advantage of opportunities inside and outside the classroom and shows humility and strength in her quest to learn and improve not just herself, but her peers and community.
Jaylin G. '25 was awarded the Alumnae Award, given to a Senior whose spirited love of Garrison Forest is evident in all she does. This student is an outstanding representative of and ambassador for the school. She is appreciative of all Garrison Forest has to offer and makes an effort to give back to the school.
Maia A. '25 was awarded the Faculty Award, given to a Senior who embodies the spirit of the award in her own singular way. This student is a deeply passionate learner and an exemplar of our Core Values. This student also exhibits sound judgment and contributes positively to our sense of community and to her peers' academic endeavors through her active engagement inside and outside of the classroom.
These students exemplify the values at the heart of Garrison Forest, and we look forward to all they will continue to contribute—both within our community and beyond.
