Indoor Track and Field team celebrates their historic second place finish at the IAAM Championships.

Indoor Track and Field Grizzlies made history over the weekend, bringing home their first-ever IAAM trophy, finishing second overall. A true team effort, the group broke conference and meet records and used three wins and 79 points in the six sprinters races to secure their second place finish. The team picked up points in a total of nine events.

Kayla A. '26, Daphne O. '28, Bryah B. '26 and Kennedy M. '25 brought home gold in the 4x200m relay setting a conference record with a time ranking them 10th in Maryland and 57th in the U.S. for high school girls this season. 

Kennedy M. '25 set individual conference records in the 500m and 300m, finishing first in both and earning a second place in the 55m. 

Kayla A. '26 picked up medals as well with a third place in the 55m and a second place in the 300m.

Another double podium finisher in individual events was Daphne O. '28 with a second place in the 55m hurdles and a third place in the 300m. 

Not to be outdone, distance and field athletes picked up medals as well. Ava M. '27 cruised to a third place finish in the 1600m, and Chloe H. '25 earned a second place in shot put.
