GFS SCHOOL NEWS

This week, the Middle School paused their regularly scheduled programming for Minimester! Minimester is a week-long period between fall and spring semesters where students explore newfound interests or dive deep into existing passions. An annual Middle School tradition, Minimester is known as a faculty and student favorite.

Students had the opportunity to engage with their peers and faculty outside of the traditional classroom setting. From baking, 3D design and printing, forensics and yoga, to paleontology, cheer and photography, students could choose from 18 different activities to tap into their natural curiosity that extended beyond the classroom.

Minimester gives faculty an opportunity to learn more about their students’ interests and abilities. "This week provides an opportunity for faculty to share their passions with students outside of the regular classroom. Close relationships between students and faculty are a hallmark of our Middle School program, and it has been wonderful to see those relationships strengthened this week," said Head of Middle School Shannon Schmidt.
