GFS SCHOOL NEWS

Some of our riders competed in the Swan Lake Partridge Run Fall Classic before Thanksgiving. Here are their results: 

Equestrian Institute member Drew Mallahan '26 rode her pony Farnley Hi Tide in the Medium Pony Hunters. They finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 5th. Their efforts earned them reserve champion.

Equestrian Institute member Grayson Finnerty '23 rode her horse Auspicious in the Older Children's Hunters. They earned two 8th place ribbons and a 2nd place ribbon in their classes. They also finished 6th in the Classic.

Equestrian Institute member Virginia Edwards '22 rode her horse H&M Uit De Melle in the Older Children's Hunters as well. They had a great day finishing 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, and 7th in the division.

Georgia Kurland rode Garrison Forest School's Cedar Spring Erin McVai in the Modified Hunters. They had a great day with two 1st place ribbons, a 2nd place, and a 5th place.  They earned champion in the division.

Garrison Forest School student Kaitlyn Boatman '25 rode Best Intentions in the Modified Hunters as well.  The pair also had a great day earning two 1sts, and two 2nds, winning reserve champion in the division.

Garrison Forest School student Alicia Gandsas '25 rode Garrison Forest School's Desperado in the .90m jumpers. They finished 1st, 5th, 7th, and 2nd in the stakes class.

Alex Hershfield rode her horse Veneto Fontaine in the Low Child Adult Jumpers, finishing 1st and 3rd. The next day, they moved up to the High Child Adult Jumpers, finishing 2nd and then 4th in the classic.

Carroll Kilty rode her horse Heartbeat in the Low Child Adult Jumpers, and finished 8th, 4th, and 4th.

Equestrian Institute member Maddie Mohn '24 rode her horse Caracas in the Low Child Adult Jumpers as well. They earned 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and a 4th place ribbon in the classic.
