AMC8

Five members of the 7th and 8th Grade Math Club participated in the AMC8 Mathematics Competition in November and recently received the results of their participation. The AMC 8 is a national 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. 7th Grader Temi and 8th Graders  Kitty, Annie, Jamie and Irene all took part in the competition. Annie was awarded Honor Roll of Distinction for scoring 22 out of 25, and placed 1st at GFS and in the top 1% nationally.  At GFS, 3rd place went to Jamie and Irene and Kitty came in 2nd Place. Special recognition goes to 7th Grader Temi for her first-time participation!  

Annie has been busy preparing for the AMC10 Competition in February.  Great work, competitors and good luck, Annie!
