On Monday, March 4, two GFS mountain bikers were recognized by the Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League. The League recognized Audrey Glose ‘20 and Molly Ianello ’21 as points leaders for Garrison Forest’s inaugural year for mountain biking. Joe’s Bike Shop hosted the event which was a Dirt Tour stop for promotion and information about the league. Sydney Townsend ’21, who is also a member of the team, attended in support of her teammates.
This past fall, GFS joined the Maryland Interscholastic Cycling league, which is in its first year in the state, as the only girls’ school in Maryland to participate. The Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League was organized in 2017 to provide a fun, safe and high-quality mountain biking program for students in grades 6 to 12. Read more.
