A 1981 graduate of Garrison Forest, Leigh McDonald Hall earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. A stellar athlete (and artist and vocalist) while at GFS, she also played field hockey and lacrosse in college during which her teams won three All-Ivy League Championships. She was elected to the All-Ivy League Lacrosse Team for four years and the All-Ivy League Field Hockey Team her senior year.

After a career in nursing, Ms. Hall began coaching at GFS in 1996. She has coached girls from Lower School to Upper School in both field hockey and lacrosse. Ms. Hall has also been involved with inner city girls’ lacrosse in Baltimore City since 2001 and ran the Pacas’ Lacrosse Program for elementary and middle school girls for seven years--the only inner-city girls’ lacrosse program in Baltimore.

Ms. Hall was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the U. S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2005, the same year she received the U. S. Lacrosse Regions Council Commitment Award. In 2003, she received the Nancy Grasmick Excellence for Minority Achievement Chair Award in 2003.

Ms. Hall has been a coach of the Garrison Forest Varsity Field Hockey team since 2006.
